The Gazette
A Gun Dog Yoga Publication
Guns, a dog bed, and a yoga mat.
The idea to create a publication, whether that be print or digital, was born in a small, dark room in my basement. Lit by a warm desk lamp and lined with coat racks of camo and shelves of ammunition, “the gun room” in my house is a space that was initially dedicated to the simple task of storing my hunting gear and firearms but it eventually grew into a personal sanctuary; complete with dog bed and yoga mat.
The Gazette is a personal journal; a place where I can compose my thoughts and ideas, save them, and share them for the purpose of both catharsis and my desire to contribute what knowledge and experiences I have accumulated and continue to accumulate. The theme to The Gazette is rather eponymous - guns, dogs, and yoga will frequently live at the center of each piece of writing. However, reader be warned, topics may span further so take a look for yourself. There just might be something that trips your trigger.

Traveling AccuFit: Rifle Fitting in Mullen, NE [Video]
I had a great opportunity to work with Savage Arms in the fall of 2020. To highlight the versatility of the AccuFit system, we took a Savage 110 rifle, chambered in .280 Ackley Improved, and travelled the country helping different shooters find their “fit” and then pursuing a variety of game. I’m featured in this particular video of the series and I help a new shooter get fitted for the rifle and find success down range.
